Welcome to the E20.02 Blog

I would like to take this opportunity to welcome everybody to the ASTM Subcommittee E20.02 on Radiation Thermometry blog. I hope this medium can be use as an effective tool to communicate the activity of our subcommittee.

At our last meeting in November at St. Louis, a course of action was decided for our proposed standard, "Standard Guide for the Selection and Use of Wide-band, Low Temperature Infrared Thermometers". As progress in this work continues, this progress will be updated here.

I would like to thank Terry Halfacre for volunteering for the job of secretary for our subcommittee. Her help in this effort is much appreciated.

I would also like to thank former subcommittee chairman Ray Peacock for all the work he has done in Radiation Thermometry. His continued input will still be very valuable to us as this work goes forth.

Our next meeting will be in Vancouver, BC in May. To those who can attend, I will look forward to seeing you there. To those who cannot attend, there will be an opportunity for you to take part in this meeting via Webex.
